First Place Win at Statewide Journalism Awards

My Bloom Magazine story "The Duanys' Amazing Journey" won 1st place for coverage of government and politics (any publication other than a daily newspaper) at the Society of Professional Journalists statewide awards. I also earned second and fourth place wins for two of my personality profiles and a 3rd place in sports reporting. It was a good year!

Threepeat!

I received one of the Society of Professional Journalists' "Best in Indiana" awards for the third year running: Second Place for Medical/Science reporting for my story on the IU School of Medicine in Kenya with Sylvia McNair. Here's a link to the article. I'm told there are hundreds of entries for these! 

I also got honorable mention for my story on Bloomington artisans. Designer Kaye Lee Johnston got Second Place for the article's layout!
