Service Learning in IU's School of Library and Information Science

Customers: Mobile and Social

 I spent last weekend at the American Society of Journalists and Authors conference in New York, which was fantastic. One of the more impressive presenters was Fauzia Burke of the online publicity company FSB Associates. Her take-home message was this:

 Today's customers are mobile and social. 

 What does this mean? 

 Number one, they are consuming a large amount of content on their smartphones as well as their computers. Increasingly, they are also making purchases on their mobile phones. Sites...

 I recently completed a Mediabistro course on online marketing with Neal Rodriguez, whom I'll call the sultan of SEO. I highly recommend his course for getting a handle on using the internet to drive traffic to your business through a variety of platforms. Neal is extremely informed and a patient and attentive teacher.

One World Enterprises is a family of dining establishments in Bloomington, Indiana that includes Pizza X, Lennie's, and Bloomington Brewing Company. I wrote the "Who We Are" and "Brands" sections on this website. A few bugs still to clear out, but a good example of how I've projected the distinct voice of the company.
